Advocating for Art History

April 17, 2015

lockers

Last month I published a series of reports on AHTR about AP Art History (part I 3/20/15 and part 2 3/27/15). Written collaboratively with the wonderful Dana Howard, Senior K-12 Relationship Manager at Artstor, the posts grew out of conversations Dana and I began last year about resources that were being developed to support the new APAH curriculum that had been released by The College Board.  But, what began as an effort simply to point AP teachers to these new materials quickly evolved into recognizing a need for greater advocacy for art history itself.

I’d love to hear your comments (either here or on the AHTR site) and please share with others interested in AP Art History or simply who want to see more art history taught in K-12 environments!
