For the past several months, I’ve been working with the wonderful team at AHTR on an initiative to establish an academic e-journal devoted to SoTL in art history. (If you’re not familiar with the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning, here’s a great video to introduce you.)

Thanks to a Digital Projects Grant from The Kress Foundation, we are now spending the summer conducting preliminary research that will help shape the e-journal’s mission, editorial oversight, and review process. This project has given me a chance to speak with colleagues in art history, museum education, and SoTL communities, and to learn more about the pedagogical research that exists in each. I look forward to sharing our progress as we continue this exciting work in the coming months!

As part of this research, we are now asking people interested in this initiative to participate by completing this on-line survey that will be open through July 17, 2015. It only takes 10 minutes (promise–I did it this morning!!!) and participants are eligible to win one of four $50 Amazon gift cards that will be raffled when the survey closes. For additional information, here’s a letter explaining the survey that was sent to partnering organizations.
